Founded in the ’70s, Crona was one of the first and largest importers of wine from Nappa Valley, California.

The business idea came into being during a wine-tasting in Paris. At this, experts were enthused by these wines of the American West Coast, especially in comparison with the European and, in particular, French wines. Until then these wines were unknown.

This surprisingly positive response was reason enough for us to close exclusive delivery contracts with a large part of the around three dozen vineyards in Napa Valley.

That’s how Crona was born, preparing the way for the sale of high-quality wine from the “Golden State” in Germany.

Today, Crona is part of Hawesko wine merchants, Hamburg.
